by Modest Mussorgsky
Dance theatre with children and teenagers from Vienna
68 dance enthusiasts embarked on their own personal journey inspired by the inner images that the music evokes. Just as Mussorgsky strolled from picture to picture through Victor Hartmann's exhibition and lost himself in his memories of his friend, so too do the dancers who set off on a journey into the personal landscapes of their souls. They tell of their very own beings, their longings, their dreams and of palpable secrets that become visible through the language of dance.
Through the dedication of each dancer, the images develop their own personal expressions and can be seen as a bow towards the composer.
The choreographer team’s goal was to create a space in which the power and beauty of an individual language of movement can come to fruition.
