La Cigale de Lyon

The choir was founded in 1947 and has been directed by Anne - Marie Cabut since 1995. The first meeting and collaboration with Anne Marie Cabut and the choir occurred during the international youth choir festival "Europa Cantat 2016 "in Pécs in Hungary. At the invitation of the choirmaster Yoshihisa Kinoshita, I developed a choreography in a one-week workshop with part of La Cigale, working with young singers from Hungary, Serbia, Turkey and Germany.
In the same year, Anne-Marie Cabut invited me to Lyon to create choreographies for her choir. It was the start of our collaboration. The world-renowned youth choir gives equal importance to singing and choreography. Since then I have been the choir's choreographer in residence, and regularly develop new choreographies in collaboration with the choir's director.
In 2017, the choral work "Kasar" by Alberto Grau won the Audience Prize at the Montreaux Choral Competition. In 2019 the choir toured Australia and performed at the Sydney Opera House among other places.
